A quiet sigh of relief could be heard from from Caimlyn.  "Thank
you for the news, Katerina Nikalaevna.  I do not know what I would have
done if you had found out differently."

She smiled and reached out to touch his arm.  "But you don't need to
think about that.  She is fine, and she will stay that way."  She was
acting very uncharacteristically tonight.

The feeling of euphoria encouraged Caimlyn.  "May I ask you
another question?"

"Certainly."  If she was going to act strangely, she might as well do it
right.

It was clear that the young ensign was nervous.  "What do you
have planned for when we arrive at Spacedock?"

"Not much," she said, wondering vaguely if this was how normal people
acted.  She was a little uncomfortable, since it was so unfamiliar to
her, but she also liked it.  "I have a little time off so I was just
going to go back home for a few days.  No plans other than that."

"Would you like to grab a bite to eat?"

She cocked her head, a quirked smile on her lips.  "Yes.  Yes, I
would."

A broad smile spread across Caimlyn's face.  "Great!" he replied unable to contain his glee.

"Do you know a good place?" she asked.  No one other than her neighbor
Pavel had ever asked her to dine with them, other than working dinners.

Caimlyn paused for a moment.  He had not thought that far ahead.  "Well, not one in particular, but the station is referred to as the gateway to the stars, it must have some nice places to eat."
