"I have not seen nearly as much as I thought I would since I have ended up in JSOC and, now, Special Operations, but I definitely have gotten to see quite a bit more than if I had stayed on my homeworld. It really is beautiful, but I have to admit that I find living in underwater communities less than exciting. Do you know much about my homeworld?" he asked.

She shook her head, her black hair swinging gently against her face. "Very little, I'm afraid. Tell me about it." She leaned forward slightly to show her interest. "What is it like to live underwater? The architecture must be spectacular. You could do so much more." She imagined impossible spires, and delicate buildings that would have collapsed the moment the supports were removed on dry land.
