Bedru nodded her understanding.

The commander's words reminded Bedru that she had lost touch with the Venasian
situation during her involvement with Ramesar. That would need to be addressed
immediately. She began with a check on available 'Fleet and diplomatic
updates.

There was not much in the way of diplomatic updates. However, the fleet was spread on
the thin side. There was a rather large task force of 22 starships stationed near the
Klingon border under Rear Admiral Black. They were working to combat and contain a
threat from a felinid species. The task force was working in conjunction with the
Klingon Imperial Navy, and Special Operations forces (both Klingon and Starfleet).
The task force that was sent to back up her and the JSOC team with the Ramesar was
disbanded. The ships returning to their previous assignments. The 6th Fleet,
operating near the Romulan-Federation border, was undertaking a grand diplomatic
mission. Vice Admiral Michael Sinclair was delivering a new formal ambassador to
Romulus, and was to receive special dispensation for acts against the empire in his
service to the Federation. There was some stirring in 9th Fleet. Admiral Kettering
was grumbling about Starfleet Command being a bunch of old women and not being
decisive in dealing with Starfleet's many problems once again. Second Fleet was
understaffed and supplied as was seemingly the norm these days. They did tend to get
more than their fair share of the misfits and underachievers from around the fleet.
