The commander had inadvertently answered another of Bedru's questions: How much
did the Federation--or at least Star Fleet--have invested in getting this
planet approved?  From the very fact that the CinC had taken such a direct
interest said that someone had a lot at stake.

She had been so involved with the Ramesar situation that she felt very much
behind on what was going on with the Venasians.  It was certain time for her to
catch up.

(hint, hint, o most beneficent one--a private email will be forthcoming)

"Well, we have to make sure that whatever is concluded on this next survey is
correct and believable," Bedru replied.  "Do you have anything further?"
