Bedru's face was a study in neutrality. That, in and of itself, spoke volumes
since hers was a very expressive face. She had chosen not to argue more
strongly her concerns during the council meeting, and she realized it was too
late to bring them forward now.

{OOC: thanks, Randye.......}

Lasiter was exactly happy that Starfleet's representative on the Council had nothing
to offer, but that was what he was left with...

   "Ambassador, you must be aware that you are approaching a line that you must not
cross. While your concern for the former Cardassian Ambassador is admirable,
honorable even, you are not representing James Watson. Rather you are representating
the United Federation of Planets, and as such the Prime Directive is one of my primary
concerns. Another, and slightly more pressing concern, is that this incident not
spirial into an incident that starts the next major armed conflict..." Lasiter was
not masking his feelings on the matter. He did not like where this was going, or at
least not where this could go.
