former Ambassador in a labor camp. We feel the best way to confirm the
situation, besides verifying the scroll, is to speak with the Ambassador."
"Sir, the Council did not set a departure time," Bedru interjected. "This
would allow the opportunity to verify the information and to prepare an appropriate
escort." She did not voice her own concerns about the council's plans, and
she was very careful not to state that waiting for verification had had anything to
do with the lack of a departure schedule.
"It would be wise to have confirmation prior to departure. What do you plan on doing
once you get there? The Cardassian Central Command is not likely to just produce him
for you. What if he is a prisioner? What then?"
