"That'sss a shame," said T'r'Lawsh.
"I have found that while I enjoy spending time with them, it is often just as nice to see them leave at the end."
That made the Caitian laugh outloud, a sound mingled with a purring noise. "Isssn't that jussst rrright! I love my kin, but I'm glad to give them back sssometimesss. The olderrr onesss jussst about drrrive me into bankrrruptcy! I neverrr knew anyone needed ssso many clothesss and musssic chipsss. And food! You would think theirrr parrrentsss kept them locked up in the cellarrr with only brrread and waterrr!"

As the meal came, Tr'Lawsh was still chuckling, the purring sound softer, but still present. It was a soothing sound, and although some of the people around them noticed and glanced over, they seemed to start smiling more and relaxing just from hearing it. "It hasss been ssso nice to be able to talk with sssomeone who underrrssstandss. Malesss can be ssso harrrd-headed sssometimesss, and the Klingonsss... Well, they arrren't exactly the "touchy-feely" typesss we Caitiansss arrre. Thank you," she said, reaching over and touching Daphne's hand.
