> A half hour later, Lucien arrived.  He was concervatively dressed in  slacks
> and a sweater.  He rang the chimes to Bedru's office.

Bedru's assistant, Staek, was still at his desk.  As was his habit, the Vulcan
did not generally leave for the evening until Bedru had left.  "Ambassador
Ares, good evening.  Admiral Bedru is waiting for you."

"Thank you, Staek," replied the Ambassador to a familiar face before proceeding toward Candaces personal suite.

The door to Bedru's office slid open.  Bedru rose from her desk and smiled.
"Lucien, it's good to see you."

"Same here," replied the Quebecois he kissed her on both cheeks in the traditional greeting.

"Please, have a seat," she said, gesturing to the conversation pit set up near a
wall-sized view of the Golden Gate.  "Would you like anything?"

Lucien sat in one of the chairs and took in the beautiful sight of the classical San Francisco bridge in the early evening light.  "No, thank you."  He figured she was gonig to get right down to business.

(Bedru?)
