> The door to Bedru's office slid open. Bedru rose from her desk and smiled.
> "Bonjour, Lucien, it's good to see you."
>
> "Same here," replied the Quebecois he kissed her on both cheeks in the
> traditional greeting.
>
> "Please, have a seat," she said, gesturing to the conversation pit set up
> near a wall-sized view of the Golden Gate. "Would you like anything?"
>
> Lucien sat in one of the chairs and took in the beautiful sight of the
> classical San Francisco bridge in the early evening light. "No, thank you."
> He figured she was gonig to get right down to business.
>
>"Thank you for coming on such short notice," Bedru said as she took a seat
>nearby.

"It is the least I could do. I know that you would not have called like that if it
wasn't something pressing."

>"I'm hoping you can give me a bit of personal insight into one of your
>colleagues. James Watson."

Lucien leaned back and took a deep breath. He did not know Watson well. "I
understand that he is a very talented diplomat. He knows his business. With that
said, I have heard that he sometimes focuses a little too intensely on some aspects
when working on a case." He was not sure that answered her question. She obviously
had specific concerns or she would not have brought it up.

(Bedru?)
