Had he truly known what the potential consequences of his actions could have been? "As you know, he is now the Federation's representative to the Diplomatic Council. I've just been appointed the new Star Fleet rep. On the two occasions I've worked with him, he's given me reason to question his motives." She went on to explain the mission to Ramesar and what happened at the council meeting earlier. "I was caught flat-footed, but I can't let that happen again. I'm looking for ways to stop him when he oversteps without making him--and the Federation through him--look incompetent or something far worse." Bedru was being unusually candid, even with an old friend. To say that he was surprised would be an understatement for Lucien. He had known Bedru and Lorin for some time and had never seen her this flustered over someone she worked with. It was not a reaction completely unheard of from those who worked with Watson. "I do not mean that he intends to sabotage his work. He just gets distracted sometimes by his instincts. He has been known to get more emotionally involved than some think is prudent in the field." (Bedru?)
