He put a paw to his midsection,, "I think I have dog poisoning,"
and a loud long burp erupted uncontrolled from him, rumbling
like a great bass tuba.
The medic cocked her head slightly. "I am not sure if I know what dog poisoning is, Lieutenant, but then I must admit that I have never treated someone of your species before." "Look under Federation Species 'Dilbian" in your medical database," he said, "Or i have an isolinear chip here withg the information on it." Thomas accepted the chip and inserted it into a nearby console to bring up information about the Dilbian as she listened to Knucklebiter. "As far as 'dog poisoning', I think I am having a bad digestive reaction to something I ate. I was told it was an Earth 'little doggie'. While she would not have chosen to eat a dog, it was not unheard of. A number of south Asian and Polynesian cultures had a history of that sort of dish. She was surprised to hear that it would make someone ill since it is really not all that much different from eating the meat of another Earth mammal. "Was the meat cooked when you ate it?" "No. was it supposed to be? I thought it was like that 'suu-shee' I was given on the Promenade one day. That was very good." he answered "Well, it would depend on whether your system could handle the bacteria in the meat when you ate it," she said with a smile. She scanned over his system and noticed a series of bacteria that had built up in the lining of his stomach. "I am going to give you some antibiotics to fight off the infection and something to settle your stomach," she continued as she picked up a hypospray and brought it to his neck. The injection to just a second. "Lieutenant, I think you can return to duty now." Knucklebiter stood up to his full height and then reached up and touched the cieling with both arms. He then flexed and stretched his cramped muscles from trying to keep his frame inside smaller spaces. "Thanks Doc, I feel like a kilo of gold pressed ladinum,, now where am I am suppossed to go? Science or Engineering?" "You mentioned that you needed to go to Science Lab 4," replied the
medic. (OOC: You didn't but I had to have a reason for her to give
you directions) "That is just down the hall on the right.
