"Well ma'am, I will prefer to leave you to your looking and get to a lab where I can lookover some of these readings better," he said.

Pweretza was surprised to hear the ursoids response.  She was not used to working with someone who balked his assignments.  It was her understanding that he had been assigned to check the lab over by the person in charge of the contingent from Spacedock.  Of course, the team from Spacedock was supposed to be giving free reign to do as the saw fit as part of the investigation.  Her black eyes studied the ursoid for a moment before responding.

"If you would like, we could set up a work station in your quarters so you can do your research in a more comfortable space."

"No, I just need access to a station computer.  You seem to have the search well in 'hand,'" he said as he waved his massive paw, indicating that his anatomy was not well suited for most of the type of searching they would be doing here.

"And besides, you guys think like they do, I do not have that background or cutural references to do a good search.  If Commander Shevab were here, he'd have the computers sitting up and begging like a Deloran lap cat with two of his brain nodes displaced at that. Me, I'm more of fix-it kinda being."

Pweretza always thought that having a different perspective on this type of search often was a benefit, but she was not going to argue with the ursoid.  It was not going to help Gabe and Jan if they wasted time fighting over procedures.

"Feel free to help yourself to one of the consoles, Lieutenent," she replied dismissing him before turning to continue the search for informaiton.
