>"Has there been any sign of any potential breakthroughs in the research in
transporter technology, >Admiral?" asked the Andorian representative. He
was not opposed to the idea; he was just less >informed than he probably
should have been.

>"Due to the lack of dedicated research efforts-at least those that are
documented, no. That's what I >intend to correct." He said with a hint of a
smile.

>"Admiral Renaud, if the resources are not available in the quantities that
you need to fulfill your request- >namely more funds for research and
personnel, what will you do? Will you prioritize certain projects >over
others, and if so which ones?", asked the Terran. The tone that he used
would indicate that >limited resources may continue to be one of Lorin's
problems.

"The combination of the projects we discussed in-depth earlier have to take
priority as they are so close to a breakthrough. I will standardize the
levels on all remaining projects so they are equal. As projects come close
to a breakthrough, I can reassign staff to reach that point as the need
occurs but I plan to keep staffing levels equal to offer greater amounts of
progress on each project. As I said it is my intention to use the skills of
some our Senior Engineering people to assist in non-classified research
whenever possible."
