Geb had had enough. This was the one part of training that he had
hated.
Lawyers, in their attempts to make sure their clients' rights were protected, sometimes made the situation a lot more complicated that it needed to be. "Why don't you start with telling us why you paid Commander Shevab a visit this morning, Mr. Leaver." Greene eyed the behemoth. He was surprised to see the lower-ranking, rock-like creature speaking. He would hav ethought that Lt. Holt would take the lead of the questioning. While she was clearly in charge, it was evident that others would be jumping in on the interview. He turned to his client and nodded. "I was just visiting Mr. Shevab. We are both in the same department, though in different facilities. I was hoping that I could get a tour to see how things are done up here." "Was there any reason that you felt in necessary to try and get that information at phaser point, Mr Leaver" asked Aravis with biting sarcasm. It was clear that she was not quite accepting his response. Adam went ashen and clammy looking pretty quickly. "Well ... ah ... you know." Greene placed his hand in front of Adam. It was clear that he wanted
to slow things down a bit before his client ended up saying something he would
regret. "Let us not play any games folks. It is clear that you know
Mr. Leaver was there and was holding Mr. Shevab. There is no way for us
around that. What will you offer if he pleads guilty?" It was blunt,
forward, and surprising.
