Greene's eyes tightened. Lt. Holt was a good adversary.   "I am not
sure
what difference it would make if he did this on his own or at the
request of
this Brotherhood."

Leaver could not believe what he was hearing.  His lawyer had pretty
much
given up defending him from what he could see.  How could his father
have
hired this guy to get him out of trouble?

"Mr. Greene, we are not hear to make deals.  Your client has a choice.
He
can either talk to us or not.  What would the two of you prefer?"  Geb
was
not one of those people who enjoyed playing these types of games.

Aravis was impressed.  She had not had any time to get to know Geb
Breknor,
but it was clear that he was going to be a good officer.  He was right
of
the Academy, but he was not letting Greene get to him.  She thought he
was
going to be an asset to the team.

"It is tradition in these instances that my client gain something from
talking.  I have heard nothing that would make me encourage him to talk
to you.  Doing so would only endanger him."

Geb glanced toward Lt. Holt. He would let her take this one since she
had already addressed the issue at the beginning of the meeting.
