Greene placed his hand in front of Adam.  It was clear that he wanted  to slow things down a bit before his client ended up saying something he would regret.  "Let us not play any games folks.  It is clear that you know  Mr. Leaver was there and was holding Mr. Shevab.  There is no way for us  around that. What will you offer if he pleads guilty?"  It was blunt,  forward, and surprising.

Aravis raised an eyebrow.  This was not an approach she was used to.  She did have to admit that what he said was true.  "Mr. Greene, I think you misunderstand the situation. We have your client in prison with no challenges.  I don't think that there is anything that he could do to have that changed.  We are hear because we want to know everything he knows about the Brotherhood."  If Greene wanted to play honest and blunt, she would do the same.

Greene visibly snared in response. "What makes you so sure that this situation or my client have any ties to that organization?"

She had him. "Are you suggesting your client decided to hold the Chief Engineer hostage all on his own?" Holt's eyes sparkled with success.

(response?)
