1) Has Bayes been taught? Until it is fed at least 200 messages for
both spam and ham, SA won't use the Bayes engine.

Bayes does alot to catch those marginal messages.

2) Do you have the additional custom rulesets that most of us use (such
as
BigEvil or Tripwire)?

cbarnes%  less updcustome.sh
#!/bin/sh

wget -N http://www.merchantsoverseas.com/wwwroot/gorilla/bigevil.cf \
     -O /etc/mail/spamassassin/bigevil.cf \
     2>&1 | grep -q 'saved'

wget -N

     -O /etc/mail/spamassassin/99_FVGT_Tripwire.cf \
     2>&1 | grep -q 'saved'

if [ $? = 0 ] ; then
    /etc/init.d/spamassassin restart
