in the meantime i tried something else..
i have an old notebook.. famous gericom t6 with the bios troubles which
cause harddisk errors..
so when i start thr notebook, i have to boot from the installation cd.. and
when the installation routine finds the installed system on my usb harddisk
i can boot..
so..
i cleaned this disk, installed suse 10.1 on it,
and tried the firmware speedtouch installation again, but that doesn't work
either..
when it boots it tells firmware not loaded...
