i have a new installed suse 10.1 system.
i did the speedtouch firmware installation as in the article.
i can't find this kinternt symbol on my screen.
when i try to connect i get an error message
Kppp error
you are not allowed to execute /usr/sbin/pppd
Kppp must belong to root..
and SUID bit must be done..
i checked the permissions.. but its correct..
(but i think this is for an analog modem and not the usb speedtouch???)
the boot log tell
firmware not loaded...
and i can neither find:
var/log/messages
nor
var/log/syslog
