Correction:  His comments were in the context of defending an HOA
(luxury seniors-only community) that was fighting a proposed high-rise
ordinance that would have required sprinklers to be retrofitted to their
building.   He said that sprinklers are great, but that this isn't the
best application for them.   Imagine that, a 13 TC member going on TV to
say that tall buildings filled with old people aren't the best
application for residential sprinklers.   Unbeevable.

Reminds me of something Steve Leyton and I heard said out here in San 
Diego, where a member of the NFPA-13 committee said on a news report 
that he didn't think sprinklers in a residential high rise would have 
any value.
