The FDC is required to be connected between the main control valve and the dry pipe valve. I'v always thought this might be due to possible air leak from the FDC check valve, if it's connected on the dry side, downstream of the dry pipe valve. Is this the reason?
For a project having a single dry system, the contractor has connected the FDC downstream of the DPV. The system seems to be holding. Any comments?
