Subject: CC sprinklers

NFPA has requirements for combustible concealed space sprinklers. However,
the TYCO CC sprinklers have their own restrictions on the application. Such
as, to be used for light hazard only. If used with TJI's, the TJI space has
to be filled with non-combustible insulation etc. What happens if these
restrictions don't apply. Use standard heads? Or use CC heads regardless, as
they are required by NFPA?

What I have is a 24" to 36" deep crawlspace, the ceiling of which comprises
of TJI's which are exposed to the space below. The insulation is on the
floor and not in the TJI space. The building is a school, but specd. To be
designed for OH 1. Any comments?

Also, any other manufacturer's for CC heads?
