Probably when exposed to fire it is protected by the water spray whilst above the tiles there is no immediate direct exposure no spray protection was afforded.

There is an issue of correct listing or not. This is under European standards, however fairly similar to NFPA 13. What I want to know: What is the actual risk of using plastic wet sprinkler pipe in a lowered ceiling space, given a listing as exposed plastic wet sprinkler pipe? Maybe no concerns? I read NFPA 13 Annex A6.3.6 on this and cannot really get my head around. Why is there a risk of removed ceiling tile when the pipework is elsewhere directly exposed to fire?
