Reading the questions and answers on this list for the last few years has taught me to question what I thought I know (which is a good thing) and now I am wondering if I am missing something.
Wood truss construction with wood framed walls. Suspended ceiling several feet below the bottom of the trusses. Trusses have insulation at bottom which fills the gaps between the trusses. Wet system below the insulation and a dry system in the attic space above. NFPA 13 (2013) 8.15.2.16 states that the sprinklers can be omitted from the interstitial space between the two areas. My question is...Does the exposed wood wall framing play into this scenario at all. Michael Hill Vice President Phoenix Fire Protection, Inc.
