A lot of the extended coverage sprinklers on the market use the same sprinkler (i.e. exact same part number) for both the standard and quick response listing. The only difference seems to be that some are limited in their listed area of coverage for quick response. Can you not install SR Extended coverage sprinklers (likely would be the exact same sprinkler as if you were installing it as QR)? It would seem the only advantage in using (i.e. calling it) a QR sprinkler would be to utilise the reduction of remote area size. However, since you have the existing as SR then I thought you wouldn't be able to do the remote area reduction anyway?
As far as the 7psi minimum end head pressure...The minimum listed area of coverage for QR sprinklers is generally 14x14. In looking at a datasheet in treating as your Retail as OH2 would seem to require a minimum of 12.1psi as part of the product listing. Regards. Damien Shannon.
