Things are getting a little complicated. Whether anything has changed
in release "7.9.0 - 1453807501 @ Tue Jan 26 12:21:15 UTC 2016", which
I'm now using, I don't know.
Another of my servers (minimserver) expects the m3u file to have
extension m3u8 (since many of my file names are in UTF-8). If I do that
minimserver is fine and dandy with European character sets. So I
thought I'd try that extension.
If I use m3u8 as the extension in LMS, the "Disks and Folders" menu
recognises that m3u8 is playable, but gives the error below. Drag and
drop of an m3u8 gives a similar error.
If I use m3u as an extension "Disks and Folders" does not recognise that
m3u is playable. However, Drag and Drop does work. I did get some
warning but the cache may have been getting in the way so I'm not sure.
I'm therefore unsure which way to go. Strictly speaking I think the
extension should be m3u8, but I'm not sure.
