I'm not concerned about how long it takes to scan, although I do agree that even with this setup it does take very long. There is a lot of idle time at night (early morning) and mornings and early afternoon where I'm not listening to music anyway. But I would like to get it to do searches again, if at all possible. BTW -- the HTPC is plenty fast, but for some reason it just got to where it would bog down regardless of trying fresh installs, etc. Even at times where I'm not streaming video at all.
