There is always the option to try it with a virtual machine running
linux - you can mount your network share in there and you could see if it
is the file server or the LMS installation on Windows.

If it works under Linux with network share mounted in Linux, you can
rerun the scan but with a shared folder which points to your mapped
network folder under Windows - if this works, the problem is with the
windows LMS installation (or configuration).
