Different ssid but same chunk of wireless frequency. If you can get things off the 2.4GHz network and leave it to legacy devices and turn that frequency off on the new routers then see how things go then it could narrow down the problem. Then if you have to have old and new on 2.4GHz then turn off as many features as possible on the new router and then turn them back on one at a time over an extended period.
