No it is indeed no placebo. Room and air in the music is missing with spotify. That's also why you get tired of listening to it..... It is ok as background music, but not for serious listening on high resoloution systems. Cymbals reverberation is not present.... and there is no real life in the drums. Of course the recordings must be good. If they are damaged and compressed to death, the the difference is not big. But on good recordings the difference is huge ....
