One of my emails has gone into cyberspace...this is a repost.

Hi Guys,

Sounds good I am allways up for a good steam challenge...we will get it
sorted!

I model in mainly shortline off beat stuff in 16mm scale on 32mm Gauge
track..."O" scale track...which works out to 2' gauge in the real world.

It is a real wet cold blowy day here on Vancouver Island...there is a big
blow coming down the coast out of Alaska...it does not make much of a day to
be out side so thought you might like to see some pics sit back and have a
warm brew...I am. I have attached a couple of pics and a link to my railroad
"The Gritty Oyster" under snow.

Because the gauge is "O" I run "O" Scale days...old tinplate and
Lionel...yes Lionel...great to see a growling F7 pulling a huge string of
cars...I run them on those battery packs that the kids use for there model
off road dune buggy toys. I made up a transistorised throttle and on a 15
minute charge the lionels will run for over an hour...the AC motors in them
love the DC...The Double headed Bassett-Lowke belongs to my friend Bob
Walker...love the sound of the tinplate rattling through the great outdoors.

Not sure how this board works...you may have to highlite the web address and
paste it in your browser...cause I think the plain text formating of these
emails removes the linking...but give it a try...now back to my warm brew.

Tony
