There's a good photo of the kitchen in the Alamosa on page 227 of Herbert Danneman's "Rio Grande Narrow Gauge Varnish". There also a photo of a pre-San Juan RPO interior on page 68.
The California State Railway Museum library has a good collection of D&RGW drawings, photos, etc. The CSRM librarian, Ellen Halteman, is incredibly knowledgeable about their collection and has always been very helpful when I've contacted her.
