Dave, It seems my question requesting a source of info, for the 1:20.3 cars which I have bought to run behind my live steam engines, may have been the cause for the consideration which you have placed before us. I find the answer is not easy to define. I feel that we should keep to small scale live steam and questions related to it. We have seen articles on elevated tracks, portable layouts etc, which are all related to our live steam operations. My worry is where should the line be drawn? I would hate to see the site degenerate to the standard of some forums I have read. I apologize for overstepping the line. (may have something to do with my earlier rugby playing) The step was taken as a last resort in the hope that someone could help me attain the standard which I want for my models, be they self built or self purchased. I am a long way from the English speaking world and even 2 Railroad museums in the USA could not help me. Looking at wording I saw at some time the phrase "Live steam trains". This if my memory serves me correctly includes the cars behind the engine, but not the track, buildings etc??. Perhaps strictly speaking a trailing car containing gas or water is not the engine either? So coming back to the question of where do we draw the line I could live with live steam trains, but would certainly reject anything outside the requirements of the average live steamer in Small Scale as defined to date.
