The flex hose adapters sound promising. I haven't seen such a connector, yet. Maybe at Diamondhead next month? Too bad you will be partying at Sinsheim. I had a similar experiance after I lengthened my gas adapter so I could fill my "A" climax tank without removing the body. The answer was to use a thicker walled tube. Another alternative growing in popularity here is to use snap on connectors on flex hose. these you just push on and open the valve on the can. Be sure to use the type with a vent you may just have to crack the regulating valve on the gas tank to let the air out when filling the tank. Unfortunately I don't have enough space to get my fingers in where the filler valve is. The adapter I lengthened is a Pierce product, and was a simple silver soldering job, but it works.
