Germany would be more fun in the autumn - just in time for the Rhine wine harvest festivals! Not so cold, either! Diamondhead is usually blustery in January, but still a lot warmer than most of the US of A at the same time. We just warmed up from freezing nights to rainy ones in the 40 degree (F) range. Getting our little locos across the pond and through TSA would be a bit much, too. It was hard enough to bring SCUBA gear back and forth from Hawaii! At Diamondhead, we all enjoy the local foods: waffles and grits, gumbo and good ol' Dairy Queen! I do hope we will have those options available in 2007. Bert, in a way, we steamers ARE one big family. In addition to having steam in common, we enjoy each other's company, we wish we could have each other's toys and we like to tease each other a lot, too. Brass fuel filler tubes tend to get kinks in them if you manage to push the butane or propane can off centered when you are trying to fill your fuel tank. This is especially true of the small ones for small locos such as my Cricket... Vickie-Marie
