I'm planning on adding an internal CDRW drive to my minitower StarMax. Should I buy a SCSI-2 or IDE drive? Any recommendations on any particular brand or model?
I purchased this computer used and the original owner had the power supply replaced under warranty by a CompUSA service center. Is there a way to tell if the replacement P/S conforms to the original factory spec of 200 watts? I would like to leave the original CD-ROM drive in place and add the CDRW in one of the other bays. Currently the machine has no PCI cards installed, however I am going to be adding ethernet. Will the 200 watt P/S be sufficient to power this configuration?
