Actually, I have that installed and have considered it but, in the 
meantime, I just want to know what's up with the gdm login screen 
in the first place because I do like using it.
The login screen comes up, I log in and PLOP, the whole thing 
restarts.  Right back to the login screen.  Again, the username and 
passwork are correct.
It acts like a broken record, of sorts.  No matter what I do, I can't 
log in using the graphical login screen.  So, yes I can simply have 
gdm not start by diabling it in SAS but that's more like taking 
aspirin instead of figuring out why I have the headache in the first 
place.
Any guidance, gurus?
