I found an article here:

that says they only raised $36,000.  Now that was back
on the 12th of december so it is possible to get to
hundreds of thousands of dollars but I don't know.

I think what is surprising about this discussion is
how the progressives can't understand that people have
a problem with this.  I mean if our roads are in
complete disrepair, our schools are failing, we can't
feed the hungry and shelter the homeless.  Our air is
killing us and our water will kill us.  Should we
really be thinking of bailing out a bookstore?

Now, if a $100k handout from the city will truly save
the bookstore, I can dig it.  From what I am reading
and hearing, all it will do is give them a little more
time.  Simply giving them the money because Coleman or
Kelly gave other businesses money just shouldn't fly.
