I do not think it is selfish to want to have an extra 30 seconds a day, or an extra minute, or an extra hour.


I think that anyone who makes it a practice to intentionally impede others and upset them is a harm to our society. I would be glad if everyone who did that sort of thing disappeared.

I knew a guy in college who played that game, though he didn't cloak it with the false nobility of enforcing the speed limit. He simply got a kick out of getting in front of other people and slowing down until they passed him. Or not moving from a stoplight when it turned until the people behind him honked or started to go around. He particularly liked it if he could trap them in place for a long time and the madder they got the more he laughed about it.

His stories and his behavior have colored how I perceive anyone who talks about how happy they are to impede others and upset them.
