REMINDER: Only 2 Posts Per Day Per Person
--------------------------------------------------

As a hard core, pack - pack and a half a day smoker, here is how I see it. When I go
to a restaurant with a non-smoking friend we sit in the non-smoking section and it
doesn't bother me a bit, it is called being courteous. Heck, I bet there isn't a
smoker out there who doesn't know that you wait to light up until everyone is finished
eating, when you are somewhere that smoking is acceptable, just to be courteous.

When I go to a restaurant alone, I sit in the smoking section and my smoke seeps over
to the non-smoking section anyway, its called being rude. But, it doesn't bother me
because I don't know anyone who is sitting in the non-smoking section. So what if my
smoking bothers them? So what if there are trying to enjoy their meal? Why and the
heck should I care? I don't know those people.

Looks to me that all my friend David is doing trying to make our little corner of the
world a bit more civil. Requiring that there be no smoking in bars or restaurants
means that I have to treat strangers with the same respect I treat my friends, what a
concept!

So, when you see me and Thune outside having a smoke, wave.

Just My Opinion Not Those Of My Employers Past Present Or Future
