George W. Bush - like a rock, only dumber.
I simply want to acknowledge this comment and ask that we not go in this direction.
I'm contacting folks off-line as the need arises, but would also like to remind participants to refrain from these kind of partisan comments about the presidential race in this forum. This is a local issues forum and we need to keep the focus there. There are ample opportunities for discussion of the presidential race, however there are very few opportunities to discuss local issues in the way that we do in this space.
Please, show your respect for the mission of our forum by staying on topic and leaving the presidential race to more appropriate spaces.
I thank everyone for their cooperation.
NOTE: I fully understand the desire and impulse to talk about the presidential race EVERYWHERE. It is true, that we CAN'T have too much discussion about the future of our country. However, its also true, that we must keep this forum focused on local issues.
If anyone has any suggestions about how we might make some limited space in this forum for CONSTRUCTIVE discussion of the presidential race (prior to Nov. 2), please contact me off-line.
Best wishes,
