-- I'd be reasonably happy to support acts like Nine Inch Nails and Radiohead that sell their music direct, and also provide a nicely packaged product in addition or instead of downloads, for luddites. Microsoft provides a subscription service for their Zune, and it doesn't seem to have boosted their prospects. On the other hand, it's relatively easy to get independent music onto iTunes: <http://hubpages.com/hub/How-To-Get-Music-Onto-The-Itunes-Music-Store> I just don't like the idea of a music tap in my house that "the man" can turn off. It's just one more tether, one more control.
