The KG-175 will temporarily drop the connection if there is no activity on
the network. The Sun Ray will go to a hour glass, but the instance you move
the mouse, the connection is re-established. To eliminate this problem, I
created a cronjob to ping the TACLANE once every 20 minutes. I have ran
utcapture, and have only seen minor sporadic packet loss. I am aware of
problem with 10 Mbit E10's, However we are running the E100 100Mbit. The
KG-175's are connected to a Extreme Networks Edge Switch, that has a 1Gbit
uplink to the Post/Campus Nodes.
