Even if you were to use stty, the DTU will reset to safe settings (9600, 8, N, 1) after each open. Since most printer drivers are not set to program serial port correctly you need to set the printer to match 9600, 8, N, 1. mouline wrote: > Hello, > > 1) when I choose the Generic printer an what ever printer model I have > some times I have scrambled characters and some time a text is printed : > PS-Adobe-3.0 > Creator : Gnome Print Version 2.6.0 > ...... > ...... > 2) when I choose to print Banner: the Banner is printed perfectly !!! > there is a way to use the driver/filter to print the banner ? > > 3) How can I see the serial interface parameters configuration on > the DTU ? and how can I change it ? > > Thank you, > Kamal > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > *De:* mouline > *Date:* lun. 05/03/2007 16:21 > *æ#8364;:* SunRay-Users mailing list > *Objet :* RE : [SunRay-Users] Serial Printer Driver -IBM EPSON > Proprinter Emulation- > > ? ? > > When I do a > > # cat printingTesttxt > /tmp/SUNWut/units/IEEE802.00144f102cd3/dev/term/a > > It work the first time, but when I do it again the DTU is diconnected !! > > when I reconnect I have the same thing the cat to the printer work on time, > > and on the second time the DTU is disconnected !! > > On the printer doc the printer interface must be set to 9600, 8, N, 1 > > what do you think ? and how can I set the printer to 9600, 8, N, 1 > > B.R, > > Kamal > > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > De: [EMAIL PROTECTED] de la part de Craig Bender > Date: lun. 05/03/2007 15:53 > æ#8364;: SunRay-Users mailing list > Objet : Re: [SunRay-Users] Serial Printer Driver -IBM EPSON Proprinter > Emulation- > > Are you sure it's a printer driver issue?
