I don't think you can hook up your 1210's to a pc.  i tried and failed, 
anyway.  your pc is expecting things at 'mic' level.  your turntables play 
at 'line' level.  you have to route your turntables through something like a 
mixer (even a cheap one will do), then plug that into the pc.

of course if someone knows to the contrary, tell us all - i would love to be 
able to skip the additional hardware.
