<<I use a C500 with external HD, Zip & Scanner on SCUSI. I start with
the Zip and HD on, as I need them, but the scanner OFF. It is a UMAX
with a software piece called Push Button. Push button runs in my
startup files and makes it possible to Start & run the scanner After
>>>the startup, and only if I decide then that I want them.

I turn my scanner on and off when needed, printer too, -- with the C-600
already booted. Been doing this for years. No special software. Guess I've
just been lucky?? If things have been going well I try not to ask questions.
I just go with it.

                                            Regards, Dean
