Dave-
I've been using a Sonnet Crescendo G4 450 in my S900 since last July. I
went directly from a 250Mhz 604e. I'm a heavy Photoshop user and the
speed difference was terrific. I had upgraded the os to 9.02 at the time
and a tech at Sonnet sent me the AltaVec extensions so PS could be
speeded up. Without those extensions the G4 behaves like a G3. Soon
after I upgraded to 9.1 which comes with the AltaVec extensions. All
apps open and process very rapidly and I rarely have to endure a
slo-motion, loooong processing bar.
