Alan since I don't own one of the ATI 128 video cards I can't say for
sure.I do think that like the Radeon Mac ED and 7000 they will want
the PCI slot 1 or 2. This is based on info/problems people have had
with OSX video cards etc. However other then that they do work well. I
can tell you that I own and use the ATI Rage Pro video card. It was
4mb when new but added the 4mb upgrade which my card provided a
place for.So is now 8mb card. It works really great and works in all
PCI slots and has no issues with OSX. I really don't need a newer
more ram video card with my setup. The only reason I would want a
newer card is I would like to be able to run Apple DVD player
software. One needs an ATI 128 or newer video card for this. The
Wired4DVD card does not work with OSX. So I strongly recommend the
ATI Rage Pro card (8mb) or the Twin turbo 8mb Apple version
card.(which I also own) as great cards for our UMAX machines.I think
the fact that the Ultima Rez video card cost $400. and wasn't really
a better card then the twin turbo is what helped put the company out
of business. They also went away before all issues& bugs were taken
care of.later Will S
