    Let me see if I can address all those questions:

    I believe I had the SCSI on 3
> What happens when you remove the new drive and put things back as it was ?
    Unfortunately, no matter whatever configuration I chose I can get the
thing to work.  Same symptoms.

    I believe it is a SCSI 1 (Connor).
> Some newer SCSI drives have rules on termination that I am not familiar
with.
    Nothing new on this bad boy except the G3 upgrade.

    I believe that I've removed all them by process of elimination, but I
could be missing something
