Here's the "CAUTION" you need to be wary of Jerry... "It is only possible to read FAT and FAT32 formatted drives in a Macintosh. Do Not use NTFS formatted drives in a Macintosh computer." If you check Apple's Knowledge Base for- Article 75320, you'll get the skinny on data transfer between PC's and Mac's. I sent this caution because an NTFS drive will prompt your Mac to ask whether it should format the drive, saying "yes" will erase the drive entirely. Not good. The slave/master thing is easy, the jumper is either on or off, signifying master or slave. Doesn't matter whether one is 7200 rpm and the other is 5400, they're both IDE drives. If it mounts, and you can see the data, it's not NTFS formatted, and you're home free. Burn the data onto a "hybrid Mac & PC" or a "ISO 9660" formatted CDr disk, and you'll have a readable copy of the data for another Windows machine to read. -Howie -- SuperMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
